Last year I made (in my opinion) a really cute "merry" banner to hang inside the house. This year I switched things up and put it outside
I cut some boughs from 2 kinds of evergreen trees from my mom's backyard and planted them in some dirt with some red glittery picks from JoAnn's.
Throw some pinecones around the tree stubs picked up after a summer storm and I've got myself a wintery nature display!
And right across this sweet nature scene is my name in LIGHTS! :)

Something that's awesome about having a coffee shop is I get a whole new space to decorate! I did some searches and found this awesome cup wreath on Twig and Thistle, which is really pretty easy to make, provided you have a lot of hot glue and a red bow from JoAnn Fabrics.
White is nice and classic, but we wanted some of our personality to shine. ThatGuy had a great idea to use our Metropolis cups to make 2 smaller wreaths.
To make these, use hot glue to attach the cups together at an angle. Just keep repeating until they make a circle!
I wrapped floral wire around the wreaths to create a loop to hook to the wall.
The customers are really into the decorations, which will hopefully translate into extra sales. :)

You saw the other day the awesome photos from Yes! Photo my brother and sister-in-law took. I took advantage of a CyberMonday sale and got some really cute Christmas photocards from Shutterfly.
They arrived a few short days later! Now I have a major job of addressing and stamping a lot of envelopes...

When I bought my condo there were many things that I wanted to replace right away. Then reality sunk in when I got my first mortgage payment. I quickly realized there are things I want to do versus things I have to do. (Boo for grown up moments!) This past weekend I finally HAD to change out my faucet because it was leaking!
Here's the offending faucet- if you look closely you can see water spraying out of the base of the faucet. That's not a good sign.
After a trip to Home Depot with my
plumber Dad, I picked out Moen's Linley kitchen faucet. My dad was super awesome and changed out the faucet. I tried to be super helpful and pass him the correct tools.
